Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to preside over the consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla on January 22, joined by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat, and several other dignitaries sharing the dais.
Over 7,000 individuals are invited for the ceremony by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra trust. The ‘Pran Pratishtha’ ceremony, will be performed by Varanasi-based priest Lakshmi Kant Dixit at 12:20 pm till 1 pm.
Following the January 22 event, the doors of the Ram temple will open to devotees, with thousands of pilgrims and tourists from across India anticipated to visit the temple daily.
In a move to enable government employees to partake in the festivities surrounding the historic Ram Temple consecration, Union Minister Jitendra Singh has declared a half-day closure for all central government offices on January 22. This decision aligns with the significance of the Ram Lalla Pran Pratishtha ceremony, set to take place on January 22, 2024, in Ayodhya, marking a momentous occasion for the nation. The announcement underscores the government’s acknowledgment of the profound sentiments associated with this national celebration. By facilitating a half-day break, the government aims to ensure widespread participation of employees throughout the country in the festivities surrounding the consecration of the Ram Temple.
In anticipation of the inauguration of the Ram temple on January 22, the Uttar Pradesh government, led by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, has declared a ban on the sale of meat and fish in the state on that day. This decision aligns with the government’s earlier prohibition on the sale of liquor during the significant event.
