In a grand gesture of reverence and inclusivity, the hallowed precincts of the Ram temple in Ayodhya are set to embrace devotees for an extended period of spiritual communion on the auspicious occasion of Ram Navami. Commencing with the sacred Mangala Aarti at 3:30 a.m. on Wednesday, the temple gates will remain open for an unprecedented 19-hour duration, culminating at 11 p.m. This expansive window of devotion is a testament to the profound significance of Lord Ram’s divine presence in the hearts of millions.
As Ayodhya braces itself for an anticipated surge of devotees, this year’s Ram Navami assumes added resonance as the first such celebration following the momentous consecration ceremony of the Ram temple. The Shri Ram Janmbhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, custodian of this sacred site, has issued a heartfelt appeal to esteemed guests, urging them to plan their pilgrimage for Ram Lalla’s darshan post April 19. Furthermore, all special pass bookings for Darshan and Aarti between April 16 and 18 have been gracefully rescinded, ensuring equitable access for all devotees.
To facilitate the seamless flow of pilgrims and to maintain the sanctity of the darshan experience, the Trust has advised devotees to refrain from carrying mobile phones and valuables. This prudent measure aims to minimize distractions and foster an environment conducive to deep spiritual reflection and connection with the divine. Additionally, a dedicated service center has been established at Sugreev Quila, offering logistical support and assistance to pilgrims embarking on their sacred journey.
The spirit of devotion will radiate beyond the temple precincts, as public broadcaster Prasar Bharati pledges to capture the essence of the celebrations through live telecasts on Doordarshan. This initiative ensures that devotees across the nation can partake in the spiritual fervor of Ram Navami, transcending geographical boundaries to unite in collective reverence.
To enhance accessibility and inclusivity, the Ayodhya Municipal Corporation is orchestrating the installation of approximately 100 LED screens across the city. These screens will broadcast the live telecast of the Ram Navami festivities at the Ram temple, transforming Ayodhya into a beacon of devotion and unity, where devotees from all walks of life converge to pay homage to the eternal ideals embodied by Lord Ram.
