In an endeavor to foster educational growth and youth empowerment, Odisha’s Chairman of 5T, Kartik Pandian, spearheaded the distribution of Nua-O scholarships and unveiled the upcoming “Nabin Odisha Magic Card” initiative. The ceremonial launch, aligned with Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik’s vision, unfolded in Khordha and Begunia on February 28.
The Nua-O Scholarship Distribution Programme witnessed Pandian’s engagement with students from 30 colleges across Khordha District. Aimed at PG and UG students from diverse educational institutions, the scholarship promises financial assistance ranging from Rs 9,000 to Rs 11,000, catering to various demographics including General, OBC, SC/ST, and Nirman Shramik categories.

Employing a tiered structure—Silver, Gold, and Platinum—based on earned points, the card grants access to a plethora of benefits including travel concessions, digital resources, skill development opportunities, and career guidance.
Noteworthy features include access to academic and personality development courses, employment avenues, volunteering opportunities, and integration with the startup ecosystem. Additionally, the card will serve as a bridge between students and potential employers, leveraging data-sharing mechanisms akin to professional networking platforms.
Pandian assured active collaboration with the private sector to enhance card benefits, ensuring a holistic approach to student welfare. With an online registration portal set to debut on March 5, the initiative targets UG and PG students, with distribution scheduled for August 15.
