PM Modi Initiates Ambitious Railway Development in Odisha, Unveiling 21 Amrit Bharat Stations

Prime Minister Narendra Modi set the stage for a transformative leap in Odisha’s railway infrastructure by laying the foundation stone for the redevelopment of 21 stations, namely Bimlagarh, Jaroli, Rairangpur, Panposh, Baleswar, Betnoti, Sambalpur City, Jharsuguda Road, Titlagarh, Kesinga, Rayagada, Paralakhemundi, Koraput, Jeypore, Talcher, Raghunathpur, Paradeep, Kendujhargarh, Bhadrak, Belpahar, and Brajarajnagar. including key hubs like Bimlagarh, Jaroli, and Rairangpur. Through a virtual ceremony, PM Modi also inaugurated approximately 2,000 railway projects nationwide, valued at over Rs 41,000 crore.

Revolutionizing Railway Infrastructure

Under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme, PM Modi initiated the redevelopment of 553 railway stations and 1,500 railway overbridges/underbridges across the country, with Odisha being a significant beneficiary. This ambitious endeavor, amounting to over Rs 19,000 crore, promises to modernize railway facilities and enhance connectivity nationwide.
