Odisha CHSE +2 Exams Begin with Strict Security Measures

The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE), Odisha, has commenced the Plus Two examinations with enhanced security measures to prevent malpractice and ensure a smooth examination process. With over 3.9 lakh students appearing across various streams, the authorities have taken strict precautions to prevent question paper leaks and irregularities. This year, the CHSE has implemented a multi-tier monitoring system, including CCTV surveillance and special squads, to maintain the integrity of the exams.

Exams Begin Across Odisha

The CHSE Plus Two examinations began today, with Science stream students appearing for their first paper in Odia (MIL). Arts and Commerce students will begin their exams on Wednesday. The exams will continue until March 27, covering all streams, including vocational courses. A total of 393,618 students are appearing for the exams, with 247,391 in the Arts stream, 114,980 in Science, and 25,526 in Commerce. Additionally, 5,721 students from vocational education are taking the exams.

Security and Anti-Malpractice Measures

To ensure a fair examination process, CHSE has introduced a four-tier security system. The measures include:

·       District-Level Squads: Responsible for monitoring examination centres and addressing any irregularities.

·       Zonal-Level Squads & Observers: Conducting surprise inspections to ensure compliance with examination protocols.

·       Internal Squads: Deployed at individual colleges to oversee the smooth conduct of exams.

·       CCTV Surveillance: Cameras have been installed at all 1,276 exam centres to prevent malpractice.

In addition to these steps, 205 Examination Management Hubs have been set up across the state to securely store question papers and prevent leaks. CHSE has also warned of strict action against those involved in spreading false rumors or attempting to leak examination papers.

Exam Schedule and Conduct

The exams are being conducted in 22 sittings, with each session running from 10 AM to 1 PM. This year, no changes have been made to the syllabus; however, a revised pattern has been introduced. The authorities aim to ensure that students experience a smooth and stress-free examination process.

Results and Government Support

CHSE has set a target to announce the results within 45 days after the completion of the exams. This initiative aims to ensure timely admissions for students pursuing higher education. Meanwhile, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has extended his best wishes to the students, urging them to write their exams with confidence and dedication.

With strict security measures and careful planning, CHSE is determined to conduct the Plus Two exams fairly and efficiently. The efforts to curb malpractice and ensure a seamless examination process reflect the Council’s commitment to upholding the credibility of the education system. As students embark on this crucial academic journey, we hope for the best results and a bright future for them all.
